Lean Operations Consultant

  • Qualified candidates will have 5-7 years experience in operational improvement initiatives, either for internal continuous improvement corporate function or as an external consultant. Must be experienced in both assessment and implementation projects with a focus on measurable project ROI. Must have firm grasp and understand of lean / TPS principles such as process mapping, waste identification and reduction, cycle time – takt time analysis, level loading, single-piece flow, 5S, and JIT/inventory reduction. Front line operations and/or engineering management experience a plus.
  • Lean Manufacturing / TPS or Six Sigma Greenbelt / Blackbelt training and certification a plus. BS in technical or business discipline required, Masters a plus. Travel required approximately 50% overall but may be 100% (Monday through Friday) for specific project assignments over a several week period.

Lean Operations Consulting Project Lead

  • In addition to above description for Lean Operations Consultant, Project Lead candidates will have 20+ years experience in both operations management and/or consulting experience. Qualified candidates will have lead projects delivering $1M+ impact in cost of goods sold and working capital improvement. Project Lead candidates will typically lead and manage a single project at a time with oversight of 1-2 consultants as well as client personnel assigned to the project. Project Lead must both lead and deliver the project as a “player-coach”.
  • Lean Manufacturing / TPS or Six Sigma training and certification required. BS in technical or business discipline required, Masters preferred. Travel required approximately 50% overall but may be 100% (Monday through Friday) for specific project assignments over a several week period.
