Gary Smuda has more than 30 years experience in the manufacturing, distribution, and construction, industries. His expertise includes assisting clients with turnaround / restructuring, operational improvement, and strategic planning.

At Whitehall, Gary has advised a variety of clients, including a $15M automotive plastic injection molding manufacturer, a $45M automotive metal stamping die manufacturer and a $3M aerospace and defense industry plating manufacturer.

Before joining Whitehall Group, Mr. Smuda was Director of Continuous Improvement at Technicolor, leading rapid plant assessments, lean implementation, plant turnaround, lean leadership development, continuous improvement, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certification initiatives. Previous responsibilities included serving as Director of Duplication Services, European plant manager, production manager and production control manager. Additional operational management experience includes inventory control management with a major retailer and construction management.

Mr. Smuda attended Madonna College (BS Management). Gary holds a Lean Manufacturing certification from the University of Michigan. He is an active member of the Association of Manufacturing Excellence, the Society of Manufacturing Engineering Human Side of Lean and Lean Certification Technical Groups.
